Description and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and communicate the daily production schedule

  • Communicate with Customer Service on customer orders.

  • Work with Schedulers and prepare daily production schedules.

  • Coordinating schedules for production based on floor stocks and customer orders.

  • Coordinating the ordering of bulk and other raw ingredients per production demands.

  • Manage inventory and facilitate transfer orders for outside warehouses.

  • Review aged inventory on a monthly basis, and prepare month end report for Accounting.

  • Manage inventory levels on all raw ingredients, finished goods, packaging and rework.

  • Support and help manage shipping department.

  • Maintaining MPSP and MRP.

  • Improving the materials management function relating to planning, procurement and distribution.

  • Complete understanding of MAPICS - AS400 Mainframe Accounting System. Must gain full understanding of how information enters the system, where to find relevant information, how to run the reports, and how to interpret the system generated reports.

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Well developed interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to get along with diverse personalities while being tactful and mature.

  • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Able to be a leader and motivator of staff while maintaining an environment conducive to working.

  • Knowledge of conflict resolution necessary to manage personnel issues on a daily basis.
