Description and Responsibilities

The Jackson location creates Dry Beverage products for Kerry customers and brands. The shift lead is responsible for the ensuring timely operation of the assigned department and lines by keeping the supervisor informed of relevant activities on shift and takes or recommends corrective action when required. Responsibilities also include

  • Directing and coaching team members to perform their jobs adequately,

  • Responsible for reassigning labor based on production requirements, scheduling changes, vacations, etc.

  • Responsible for adhering to all quality system and safety requirements, escalating issues as needed

  • Reviewing line performance, QA and housekeeping on an hourly basis by discussing KPI’s with Operators, developing action plans based on rates, and ensuring all lines are kept clean

  • Reviewing completed MO packets and submits needed corrections to QA/Accounting

  • Inputting DT/completing DPR for designated lines and following DT escalation

  • Performing layered confirmation

Qualifications

  • Excellent attendance – expected to be at work and on time. Overtime as required.

  • Good decision making for the immediate short-term and future long-term goals.

  • High school diploma or Equivalent.

  • Must be able to read and communicate production schedules.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of operations.

  • Ability/willingness to learn quickly.

  • Proven leadership abilities.

  • Ability to interact positively in a team environment

  • Ability to multi-task/manage numerous variables to maintain production efficiencies.
