Description and Responsibilities
We currently have an opening for a 2nd shift Filler Machine Operator. Hours are 2:45pm - 11:00pm, Monday - Friday with availability to work overtime as needed.
This position is responsible for running the filler on a new high-speed packaging line. This includes performing necessary machine settings, tool changes, adjusting labels sizes and fill weights for different containers, loading film in machines, cleaning and maintaining equipment per specifications, and complying with all quality, safety, GMP and sanitation system requirements. Must demonstrate a high degree of product quality, understanding production schedules and work instructions. Communicating line needs and direction downstream. Ensure daily schedule is met and responsible for line goals and targets.
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum one year recent food manufacturing experience preferred.
Must have a good attendance record and ability to work overtime when needed.
Strong and demonostrated mechinical apititude
Good mathematical aptitude, with ability to add, multiply, subtract, and divide.
Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and able to lift, stand, and stoop for long periods of time.
Team player, action oriented and posess strong problem solving skills
Must be able to meet customer timelines, successfully prioritize daily tasks and expectations, run equipment efficiently, hitting targeted rates while maintaining safety and quality.
Has a general understanding of production schedule and understands the importance of meeting target run rates and changeover targets.
Must understand line costs.
