Description and Responsibilities

The Village of Jackson is located just 25 miles northwest of Milwaukee and 7 miles south of West Bend, at the intersection of U.S. Hwy 45 and State Hwy 60.

Hours flexible, primarily late mornings - early evenings. (10 am - 7 pm), with the ability to work occasionally on the third shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support business strategy to ensure all HSE directives, policies, and initiatives are effectively developed and implemented at site level.

  • Undertake at regular intervals HSE audits/inspections of the site and develop appropriate corrective and preventive actions.

  • Assist in the implementation and management site ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.

  • Manage site HSE training, develop appropriate resources, and execute training sessions for employees and management staff as required.

  • Support site supervisors with the investigation of HSE incidents at the site. Where necessary, lead investigation process.

  • Assist on the review of physical site security and security situations as they develop.

  • Maintain HSE records to ensure adherence to corporate polices and/or regulatory requirements. Includes, but not limited to, OSHA 300 log, training, inspections, etc.

Qualifications

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an applicable field of study required and relevant work experience

  • Prefer 2+ years of HSE experience

  • Demonstrated success in developing/implementing continuous improvement initiatives and accountability programs

  • Proven ability to drive process improvements, adhere to budgets, and maintain regulatory compliance

  • Proven ability to lead with the following key competencies: Critical Thinking, Continuous Cost Focus, Technical Expertise, Influence and Delivery of Sustainable Results

  • Knowledge and experience with HSE Regulations in regard to OSHA, EPA, DNR, and ISO 14001 preferred
