Description and Responsibilities
3rd Shift - Sunday - Thursday 5pm- 1am, with Flexibility.
Provide first line leadership for the plant maintenance team responsible for asset care
The core focus for this role is to ensure machine availability is maximised and equipment is fit for purpose ensuring all compliance standards are maintained at all times, this includes the management & implementation of permanent corrective actions against all causes of failure and ensuring equipment life is maximised while achieving optimum value for money
Responsible for predictive and preventive maintenance, maintenance repair and installation of equipment and manufacturing operations to ensure continuous production operations
Responsible for managing and controlling all day to day maintenance activities on site delivered by either in house maintenance crew, engineers or contract support
Cascading plant-specific vision and mission to assure continuous improvement and alignment with the corporate vision.
Drive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize manufacturing, quality, safety, regulatory standards and productivity goal attainment.
Define skills development plan to the crew.
Collaborate directly with human resources to insure employee issues or concerns are correctly addressed and resolved.
Manage maintenance labour and spares part budget.
Initiate cost savings measures.
Ensure that plant maintenance operations are conducted in a safe and controlled environment.
Ensure all maintenance related works align with corporate engineering standards including sanitary design, ergonomics, employee safety and food safety requirements.
Continuously apply sound mechanical and electrical solutions to resolve obstacles to plant efficiencies and to drive continuous improvement.
Perform follow-up analysis to identify and resolve recurring downtime / inefficient operational issues.
Manage maintenance schedule to efficient execution
Works with the production team on maintenance planning and execution
Adjust priorities as daily conditions dedicate.
Monitor crew performance and provide feedback
Ensure work order compliance including predictive and preventive maintenance
Effectively communicate results and action plans to appropriate employees and managers.
Ensure compliance with proper documentation of work performed
Provide technical support for efficient troubleshooting / problem solving activities and maintenance repair to maximize efficiencies and limit downtime.
Execute mandatory inspections and certifications and appropriate authorities.
Ensure environmental compliance.
Bachelor's Degree preferred in a related field or technical school training required
3+ years maintenance experience in manufacturing environment
Good understanding or mechanical and electrical systems.
Excellent troubleshooting ability
Experience TPM and/or Lean initiatives
Experience predictive/preventive maintenance programs
Strong computer application skills,
network and PC business application software
Supervisory / Management experiences
Food Industry experience
Experience implementing TPM and/or Lean initiatives
Experience implementing predictive/preventive maintenance programs
