Description and Responsibilities

3rd shift primarily (Hours: 6pm-6am with flexibility, rotating days of the week)

  • Management of the Production team on a day to day basis

  • Management of the daily operational, safety, quality service and efficiency initiatives

Key responsibilities:

  1. Efficiently execute the production schedule

  2. Develop and maintain efficient SOPs in collaboration with the site engineers

  3. Develop and maintain qualified personnel within the plant production department

  4. Communicate and enforce regulatory & Kerry standards within the plant

  5. Drive operational efficiency initiatives

  6. Manage the plant production department within budget.

  7. Positive working environment driving a continuous improvement theme

  8. Work in collaboration with HSE Team to ensure a safe working environment

  9. Responsible for manufacturing product to specification

  10. Responsible for minimizing losses

  11. Ensure food safety programs are instituted and followed

  12. Management through KPIs

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.

2+ years of experience in Manufacturing setting.

Experience in food, chemical, or Pharmaceutical industry

Analytical skills.

Continuous improvement understanding.

Thorough understanding of unit of operations.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodology.

Exceptional Communication and interpersonal skills.

Team leadership and development.

Proven demonstrable success in leading a manufacturing team.

Skills in motivating, coaching & influencing others.

Problem solving. HACCP/food safety experience
