Description and Responsibilities

This is a 2nd shift Warehouse Lead position, hours are 4:00pm to 2:00am Friday - Monday with overtime as needed.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Acts as a resource to the warehouse personnel ensuring accuracy and efficiencies are met.

  • Keeps the immediate supervisor informed of relevant activities on shift and takes or recommends corrective action when required.

  • Coach or direct other department personnel so that they have the required information to perform their jobs adequately.

  • Points out equipment problems to maintenance for repairs and follows up on progress.

  • Works with the other Leads and Supervisors to ensure a smooth transition from shift to shift.

  • May be responsible for reassigning labor based on production requirements, scheduling changes, vacations, etc.

  • Understands how to properly pull product using the pick list provided by the Shipping Clerk.

  • Adheres to and ensure others are accurately performing their duties such as picking and preparing finished goods to ship out orders, as well as receiving inbound goods and preparing paperwork.

  • Move product from production lines into shipping areas.

  • Build and stage product for upcoming production lines.

  • Monitors inventory control through accurate recording of goods movements.

  • Conduct training when required ensuring accurate and consistent interpretation of all company practices and guidelines.

  • Reports all food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initial action.

  • Identify and work to correct performance of department employees.

  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and relates in a positive manner when interacting with all personnel.

  • Understand and comply with all HACCP, Allergen, Environmental, regulatory and customer demands and requirements.

  • Previous experience in warehouse operations in which has been demonstrated a high degree of competence and understanding of process equipment.

  • Problem solving ability and aptitude for learning and professional growth.

  • Previous experience in a leadership role preferred.

  • Previous experience utilizing MS Office programs preferred.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
