Description and Responsibilities

Plan and schedule the flow of raw materials and finished product necessary to facilitate the completion of production by Co-Manufacturers and internal specialized manufacturing (Reaction Room) in order to meet customer demand.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan and enter Manufacturing Orders for Reaction Room & co-manufacturers

  • Utilize planning tools (MRP/MPSP) for scheduling and demand planning

  • Maintain master schedule for reaction room & co-manufacturers

  • Maintain Order Confirmation Report as the point of contact for Customer Care on co-man & reaction room products

  • Review completed production reports, verifying lot numbers and rectifying ingredient discrepancies with location availability.

  • Ensure accurate co-man inventory data through paperwork verification and quarterly cycle counts

  • Verify, copy & distribute receiving paperwork from co-manufacturers

  • Prepare daily open order status & report at daily production meeting

  • Work with R&D & Quality departments to set up pre-run calls & make sure all source documents, gold standard samples, & work instructions are provided to the co-manufacturer for new scale ups.

  • Work with Purchasing to forecast and set up adequate raw material safety stocks

  • Regularly review finished good safety stock levels, focusing on limiting aged inventory while still meeting customer demand

  • Evaluate co-manufacturer performance & work w/ each co-man to drive performance improvement

  • Review overall SKU volume distribution, focusing on maximizing cost efficiency and meeting customer demand

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field strongly preferred

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with purchasing and materials management.

Working Relationships Required with Others

  • Works closely with employees in purchasing department.

  • Communicates daily via phone or in person with Reaction Room Operators to verify information.

  • Communicates daily via phone or email with co-packers about schedules, inventory or follow-up questions.

  • Communicates daily via phone or email with Cost Accountants.
