Description and Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Inventory Analyst include managing and maintaining inventories of all materials, to include Raw Materials and Finished goods. This profile must be analytical and understand all transactional movements that occur regarding inventoried materials. This profile is also accountable for the cycle count process and ensuring the validity and integrity of inventory reporting. Customer Service skills are also essential to this role. This position reports to the Plant Controller. The Plant Controller will serve as backup to ensure the cycle count process is completed in the absence of the Inventory Analyst.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the efficient operation of inventory flow for the plant, offsite storage facilities and yard.

  • Assist with documentation of plant inventory processes. Monitor and report adherence of plant against set processes.

  • Assure inventory accuracy through working closely with the warehouse supervisor to keep the warehouse organized and inventory movements that are based on FIFO.

  • Management of cycle count program ensuring cycle counts are conducted to ensure data integrity and material availability. Manage daily cycle count activity; ensure process to conduct daily counts; reconcile inventory adjustments as required.

  • Perform inventory transactions and code appropriately, to account for inventory adjustments

  • Preparing monthly inventory reconciliations ensuring physical inventories are correct. Preparing inventory reconciliations for customer owned inventories as required.

  • Perform reconciliation of offsite storage, with corporate supply chain, to ensure inventory activity and storage fees are matched and reconciled to vendor invoices

  • Prepare inventory performance reports as required

  • Trained in the Kerry HACCP program in order to identify critical steps and other instructions critical to effective implementation and maintenance of the Food Safety Plan.

  • Support the MAPICS system

  • Seek involvement in continuous improvement activities and processes to support organizational progress on safety, quality, customer service and cost goals.

  • Process intake logs and DPL shipments in a timely manner. Create Rail View shipments.


Education / Experience

  • 5 years’ experience in Inventory Programs and Software

  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with peers and customers

  • Associate degree (bachelor degree or higher preferred)

  • 5 years’ previous inventory control experience

  • Excellent computer and software understanding

  • Demonstrate communication, organizational and listening skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and follow through
