Description and Responsibilities

  • Packaging product from line that weighs between 18-50 lbs per bag. Must be able to lift bags to place on pallets, from floor to over shoulder, repeatedly. (approx. 1 bag/minute)

  • Reviewing product from line for proper color, texture and smell. Examples are given to compare to. Notify Lead or supervisor immediately if something appears incorrect.

  • Completing paperwork which includes but is not limited to: Move tickets that are attached to each pallet, Line sheets summarizing production, animal feed tickets for sale and readings of product/equipment (when needed).

  • Taking samples from production line for testing by QA Team.

  • Doing weight checks and metal detector checks during shift.

  • Cleaning during shift and at week-end in preparation for next production run.

  • Must be self-motivated and want to be busy. Must work well alone and also with a Team atmosphere.

Qualifications

High School graduate or GED is preferred from an accredited school: must be able to communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding and terminology of the job
